by Florian Oberparleiter® In advanced groundwork, Florian’s aim is that the horse barely gets in physical contact with the stick. When he reaches this goal, he switches the Soft-Stick to the Guidance-Stick. Due to its weight and length, the Guidance Stick is an ideal tool for advanced groundwork. Alternative applications:
- Basic training: Since the rope of the Guidance Stick can absorb less water than the one of the Soft-Stick, Florian Oberparleiter recommends the use of the Guidance Stick already for basic training in rainy weather and wet surfaces.
- Riding: If the human and the horse are prepared appropriately, two Guidance Sticks can be used as a substitute for reins when riding. Here Florian recommends the Guidance Stick Set.
